thrift store finds 10/02/10

after partying too hard friday night, ana and i decided to hit up some thrift stores and an indoor flea market around 3.

first up, more of my vintage planters. i found these at the lowly price of $5 for all 3.

this set of vintage speckled christmas trees for $3.

since i will be visiting texas to ride horses, these were fitting for $6

(they look huge, but they’re only a 7

this blanket will match pretty well with the curtains i have yet to put up.

and now, for the best purchase of the day, a pair of oil paintings. $30 for the set. they need new frames, but that will be easy. i’m thinking silver. they’re too awesome.

ana made some pretty sweet finds too, but she left to go back to tallahassee at 6:30am. it was a wonderful weekend, but i realize i am now too old to stay out until the sun comes up.

thrift store finds 8/28/10

Unfortunately, I’m sick as hell. I had a pretty good time despite feeling miserable. I didn’t want to be trapped in the house all day…

So- I decided to go out to breakfast with my grandparents and we ran around to some thrift stores.

I’ve been looking for a unique lamp for the living room for a long time, and I’m happy to say I found it.

$25 - I expected it to be at least $100 - SCORE

It puts off a nice ambient light.

Orange glaze with a wooden base. The shade has little damage, but it’s replaceable.

Vintage Pyrex spring blossom green with a lid = $3

Vintage end table - $8

I think I will take it to work to have them spray it. Now, I just need to determine color or a wood stain.

I also got a damn near new pair of black/pink New Balance for $7 and a vintage blue sweater for $3 and 3 books for $1ea.

SUCCESS.
